Jacob Fox grew up in north Georgia where he spent much of his free time exploring the rivers, mountains and back-roads of Appalachia. Through the guidance of wonderful parents he discovered both the joys of reading and the adventure of the outdoors at an early age, both of which lead to a lifetime of writing and hiking. In 2019 he quit his job to pursue his dream of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, and on this journey he met the woman who would become his wife. They now live, and occasionally hike, together on the coast of Maine, along with their crazy dog and beautiful daughter.
