Jacob Fox grew up in north Georgia, where he spent much of his free time exploring the rivers, mountains, and back roads of Appalachia. Through the guidance of wonderful parents, he discovered both the joy of reading and the adventure of the outdoors at an early age, each of which led to a lifelong love of writing and hiking.
In 2019, he left his job to pursue his dream of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. Along the way, he met the woman who would become his wife. They now live on the coast of Maine, where they hike when they can and share their home with a crazy dog and a beautiful daughter.
